The Ephibian Framework Technology (EFT) is a powerful, industry-proven, standards-based, highly extensible software framework. The EFT provides an extensive set of underlying services and reusable components.

The EFT is based on the Model-View-Controller architecture and provides tools to enable scalability, security and performance through the Core Services: Logging, Database, Security, Session, Cache, Configuration, XML, Events.

The Advanced Services provides the real framework from which applications are customized. The EFT offers innovative components that allow the applications to be quickly extended and customized.

  • FormServer is a sophisticated database backed forms generation and processing engine.

  • PortalServer allows applications to use high customized and personalized portal pages.

  • ContentServer provides powerful tools for managing content.

  • NavServer allows the applications menu to be built dynamically.

The Application Programming Interface (API) for the EFT allows application modules to be built in an extremely flexible way to gain high-reusability from one application to the next. This is done by providing a layer of abstraction with the navigation system and page layout.

We can tailor this framework, and integrate additional modules where necessary, to meet the precise requirements of our clients.

Current modules include: web-based report builder, knowledge base, discussion forum, calendar, web-based
e-mail, chat, instant messaging, alert notifications with auto-alarming, bulletin board, message of the day, contact management, surveys and polls, document management, search, demographic profiling, shopping cart, credit card clearing, banking transactions, distribution interfaces, e-commerce, and many others.

A well-integrated modular approach within a J2EE compliant framework, so the client benefits from consistency and data integration throughout, not a piecemeal approach based on a compilation of multiple non-interoperable third party packages.

The EFT is built around standards such as J2EE, XML, and SQL and can be easily integrated with other products that use these standard based technologies.
