City of Tucson's Wired for Success, Fourth Graduating Class

Tucson, AZ-- 12 August, 2004: Ephibian participated with City of Tucson officials in celebration of their Wired for Success fourth graduating class. The class successfully completed training to prepare the students for call-center related jobs in the local economy.

Ephibian built Wired for Success’ student portal (www.w4s.org). This online, web-enabled knowledge center tracks a host of information relative to the City of Tucson program. The system:

  • allows instructors to post assignments, which the students can then read and/or download,
  • tracks students progress against assigned curriculum,
  • tracks grades and assessments, including an interface to a third-party typing assessment application,
  • contains a calendar of events,
  • incorporates a knowledge bank of career-related information,
  • provides webmail, forum and chat modules for the authorized community of students, instructors and program overseers.

Ephibian was delighted to be invited by the City to participate in the students’ graduation. It was terrific to see the effort the students and the City put into this program come to fruition for the overall good of the community.
