Ephibian's Successful Second Tax-Year Support to Intuit

Tucson, AZ-- May 1, 2004: For the second year in a row, Intuit, Inc. the makers of business and personal accounting software such as TurboTax, Quicken and Quickbooks, have used Ephibian’s RepCenter software for their customer support center's knowledge base. Over the course of the tax season, Ephibian's software helped Intuit respond to over a million customer service calls regarding Intuit's enormously popular tax preparation and submission software, TurboTax, as well as associated tax laws and advice.

Ephibian delivered several new features to RepCenter for Intuit this year. Building upon the successful RepCenter information portal and knowledge management system Ephibian delivered prior to the last tax season, this year Ephibian extended the solution with a enterprise-scale, real-time alarming and notification system, more extensive interaction with Intuit’s third-party Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system, and improvements in the Information Warehouse & Knowledgebase. In addition, the upgraded solution is to provide Intuit leadership with a more extensive and flexible reporting subsystem.

Just before the tax season began in earnest, Intuit asked Ephibian to extend the solution to support their Tax Advisor Group. This group provides tax advice on a consulting basis. This was in addition to the support the system was originally deployed for --- Intuit’s TurboTax Customer Service Group. After the season, the feedback from both groups was very positive.

Both systems, RepCenter and AdvisorCenter, are built atop Ephibian’s Framework Technology (EFT). This is a J2EE software framework, using a relational database, with many pre-existing modules for effective corporate intercommunications. This framework allows Ephibian to rapidly deliver sophisticated, web-enabled solutions to our customers, while retaining flexibility and versatility to meet exacting demands.

Intuit is already in discussions with Ephibian to extend the solution even further within their organization in the coming year.
